Hiking, paddling, yoga, floating meditation and the most beautiful change of scenery!

Sidney will be leading this one-day experience in beautiful Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown, WV. Your morning will begin with an invigorating hike on the Maryland Heights Trail. After we take in the views we will head back into town for a fun vinyasa yoga class in the park. We will have a break for lunch so you can explore the nearby restaurants or pack a picnic to eat in the park. Then, we will drive about 15 minutes down the road to our paddle location. We have the most perfect flat water location to paddle and flow on. We will do an up river paddle and then a bit of floating yoga and meditation. At the end of the day you are welcome to head to Harpers Ferry Brewery to hang out and enjoy a drink and the views!


  • 8am: Maryland Heights Hike: We will do the 4.3 mile loop, it starts from downtown Harpers Ferry. This means you need to park either in town (there is one parking lot on Potomac St.) OR at the visitors center. Parking is $20 per car at ALL of the lots since it is a national park. If you have a National Park Annual Pass be sure to bring it as you can simply put it in your windshield and not pay. If you do pay, bring cash/credit card and note that the $20 parking is valid for 3 days, so you will only have to pay once.  The hike is not technical, but it is straight uphill- but the view makes it worth it!! Bring some water and a snack to have at the overlook!
  • 10:30am: Yoga In The Grass: After the hike we will do a 60-minute yoga class to stretch out our muscles after the uphill climb! We will be practicing in the grass so you might like to have a towel for under your yoga mat.
  • 12pm: Lunch: Bring your own picnic lunch or go explore the local restaurants
  • 1:30pm: Launch board for Paddle: We will meet at the Princess Street Boat Ramp (in Shepherdstown, WV) to begin our paddle adventure. This is about a 15-20 minute drive from downtown Harpers Ferry. We will paddle up the river, but do not worry, it does not have a very strong current and no rapids! Once we are about a mile up river we will anchor our boards for a relaxing floating yoga and meditation practice. Afterwards we will float back to the boat ramp where we started the adventure.
  • 4pm: Optional meet-up at Harpers Ferry Brewery
